AUDITION CALL FOR MALE, FEMALE & NON-BINARY SINGER/ACTORS & DANCERS
FOR ENSEMBLE AND SOLOIST ROLES

Ages 16 & Up (Non-Equity Only)

This spring, we will be hosting Video Auditions for anyone wishing to be considered for our upcoming Dinner & a Show production of THE BEST OF BROADWAY, directed by Wesley J. Colford (A co-production with Sacred Heart Downtown).

Featuring hits from all of your favourite Broadway shows, this musical revue is sure to set your toes tapping from 42nd St all the way to East Broadway!

Looking for Soloists and featured Ensemble members with singing and dancing ability.



PERFORMANCE DATES:

June 19, 20, 21, 2023
(More dates may be added through July and August, pending ticket sales and demand)

At this time we will be receiving only video auditions for this production. Please see below for full submission details.

Please Note: This is a paid performance and all performers will be paid for their time.



The Highland Arts Theatre is always seeking to mirror the vast diversity of culture in the social fabric of Unama’ki/Cape Breton Island. Our work seeks to provoke discussion and redefine traditions of identity and character. Therefore, we encourage submissions from artists of all backgrounds, including, but not limited to, race, gender, body type, ethnicity, ability, and members of other under-represented communities. We welcome applicants to inform us of their pronouns and to include details about how their identity informs their artistic practice, should they wish.

IN YOUR SUBMISSION, PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

1) Recent photo (professional quality not necessary)

2) Theatrical Resumé (if applicable - no experience required)

3) A link to an unlisted YouTube video of yourself singing a song from one of your favourite Broadway musicals. If you need help creating an unlisted YouTube link, click here.

Time limit for songs: no more than 2 minutes. Feel free to make cuts as necessary.

Songs do not need to be memorized, but the more prepared you are the better.
