A Note From the Director:

Please note we will be accepting applicants from outside of NS but priority will be given to local performers.

As stated above, rehearsals will take place between April 8th and May 12th with performances running May 14th-18th, 2025.

Rehearsals will be predominantly evenings and weekends with some day times as needed and available. Please identify if you have any conflicts during that time in your application. While we will attempt to be flexible, this is a big show with most actors playing multiple roles and we expect people to be available through the rehearsal period, but we will do our best to accommodate where possible.

Please submit a video with the following:

For all roles:

1) Please tell us a joke in your video! Legit. The dumber the better.

2) If you’re a dancer: Please show us a single/double or triple pirouette, a single/double or triple time step, a grande battement left and right and any special skills you may have as a dancer. You do not have to choreograph anything, just show the isolated skill (jumps or leaps etc).

If you’re not a dancer that’s ok! You don’t have to show us anything… unless you can do the hustle exceptionally well, I always want to see that.

3) For any role other than Max and Ulla, please choose a comedic song in the style of the show or something from the show! Maximum time limit of 1:30-2 mins of the song. Please show us your range and your comedic chops :)

For Max Bialystock:

Please also prepare Betrayed. You do not have to be off-book for this, we mostly want to hear you take a crack at it, so feel free to hold lyrics or sheet music! Below is a great backing track if you want to use it!
