Through play-based pedagogy students will learn the basics of acting. This will include use of entry level theatre terminology, foundation building drama skills, arts and crafts to learn about the different aspects of theatre, and most importantly how to work as a team when putting on a performance.

FACULTY BIO:

Rachael Murphy (BA, Theatre Arts Certificate) has been with the HAT Academy since our very first HATCH Summer Camp as a student Group Leader, and is now very happy to be the HAT Academy’s Education Director! When she isn’t answering emails, planning new programs, or teaching classes, you can sometimes find her onstage at the HAT (Alice - Alice in Wonderland, Celia -As You Like It, Past - A Christmas Carol) or backstage Stage Managing (Frozen JR, Seussical the Musical, She Loves Me) OR directing one of our JR/Teen Productions (15, Alice in Wonderland, Shrek JR, Mary Poppins JR).

When:

Tuesday evenings from 4:00PM to 5:00PM
April 23rd, 2024 and running for 8 consecutive weeks.

If a class should be cancelled for any reason, a make-up class will be scheduled and emailed out to participants.

AGE GROUP:

For children and teens between the ages of 5 and 7.

Tuition:

$126 (+HST)
Registration is accepted on a "first come, first served" pending payment of Registration Fee. 
All sales final.
